Bail Bond - a 'surety' bond provided by an insurance bompany through a bail bondsman acting as an agent for company, to secure the release from jail of an accused defendant pending trial. Usually there is a charge of 10-20 percent of the amount of the bond (e.g. $200 for a $1,000 bond) and oftenthe defendant must put up some collateral like a second deed of trust or mortgage on one's house if the amount is much higher. Upon acquittal, conviction, or other conclusion of the case, the bail bond is "exonerated" and returned to the insurance company. If the person who has been bailed out, disappears and does not appear in court, the bond funds will be forfeit unless the defendant is found and returned.
Exoneration- satisfied bond
Attend all of the required court appearances. Once this has been completed and the case is finished, the court will exonerate the bond. When the court exonerates the bond your and your co-signers obligation ends. If collateral was put up in addition to the premium amount, then that collateral will be returned once the bondsman and company have written evidence that the bond was exonerated by the judge handling the case.

Cash bond- a cash bond or 'cash only' bond is a bond which the court or municipal authority requires to be paid in cash only. Generally speaking, unless accompanied by a 'cash or surety' bond, a bondsman cannot be of assistance in posting these types of bonds. Usually they are set by a judge in order to get fines or levies paid to the court directly due to delinquency.
What to expect throughout the bail bond process...
The first step in the bonding process is gathering the required information about the person in custody. We do that for you.
Once we have that information we will be able to advise you on costs, co-signers, and other requirements. With that the bond is posted with the appropriate court or jail.
When the defendant is released we will work with them to ensure court dates are attended and any other requirement is met.
